Terms & Conditions
The agreement that governs your use of the Talos platform, your account, your content, and your billing.
These terms form the agreement between you and Talos for your use of the Talos platform. They cover your account, the content you publish, the plan you pay for, and what each of us can expect from the other. Please read them; by creating an account or using Talos you accept them.
Who can use Talos
You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. If you are using Talos on behalf of a company or other organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation, and “you” in these terms means that organisation.
Your account
You are responsible for your account, for keeping your credentials secure, and for everything that happens under it. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission. We may suspend an account where we reasonably believe it has been compromised or is being used in breach of these terms.
Your content
You keep ownership of everything you upload or publish through Talos — your courses, posts, recordings, community spaces, and customer data. You grant us a licence to host, store, reproduce, and display that content for the sole purpose of operating the service for you. That licence ends when you delete the content or close your account.
You are responsible for having the rights to the content you publish, for its accuracy, and for complying with the laws that apply to your business, including consumer, tax, and marketing rules in the places where you sell.
Acceptable use
Do not use Talos to publish unlawful, deceptive, or infringing material; to harass or endanger anyone; to send unsolicited bulk email; to probe or disrupt the service or its infrastructure; or to resell the platform as your own. We may remove content or suspend accounts that breach this section, and we will give you notice and a chance to fix the problem where it is reasonable to do so.
Plans, billing and renewals
Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual cycle and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and we do not refund part-periods except where the law requires it. We will give you at least 30 days’ notice before a price change, which takes effect at your next renewal.
Free trials
Where we offer a free trial, we will tell you how long it lasts and what happens at the end. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your plan continues and the first payment is taken. We may withdraw or change trial offers at any time.
Payments to you
When you sell through Talos, payments from your customers are processed by our payment partners and paid out to you according to their schedule and our published rates. You are responsible for your own tax reporting and for honouring the refund policy you present to your customers.
Our intellectual property
Talos, the Talos name, and the software, design, and documentation behind the platform remain ours. These terms do not grant you any rights in them beyond the right to use the service while your account is in good standing.
Third-party services
Talos connects to third-party tools and payment providers. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability or conduct.
Availability and support
We work hard to keep Talos available, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may carry out maintenance, and we will give notice of planned downtime where we can. Support is provided through the channels described on our site.
Termination
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the service — in which case we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your content.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Talos is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties and we are not liable for lost profits, lost revenue, or indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product and the law change. We will post the updated version here and update the date at the top of the page. Where a change materially affects you, we will tell you before it takes effect; continuing to use Talos afterwards means you accept the change.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Talos is established, and the courts there have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim in your own country.
